Over the last thirty years there has been considerable research directed at determining the actual cause of dental decay and helping patients overcoming the disease. It is now recognised as a bacterial infection so methods of prevention and elimination of the infection have become well recognised.
This website links you to a new text book which describes the modern approach to the control of caries (dental decay). Several chapters are written in such a way that members of the general public could benefit and learn more about mastering their dental condition.
