What Information Does ADI Collect?
ADI collects personal information, such as your first and last name, postal address, email address, date of birth, city of birth, convocation date, educational background, the name of education institutions attended, professional positions, publications, areas of interest, social organization affiliation, and spouse’s name (“Personal Information”). ADI also collects information about your use of the Website, including (1) technical information, such as the date and time you accessed the Website, your internet protocol address, browser name, computing device type, and (2) service usage information, such as records and history about your interactions with our Website, demographic, geographic, and psychographic information, and any other feedback you choose to provide to us (“Browsing Information”).
The information we collect depends upon your interaction with us. When you contact us with an inquiry via email or through our website, we collect the Personal Information necessary to respond to your request. If you choose to apply to become an ADI member or fellow, we collect the Personal Information necessary for us to complete your application, including payment card information necessary to process membership fees. We collect Browsing information from you when you visit the Website via internet cookies and use of analytics services.
How Does ADI Use My Information?
We use the Personal Information you provide us to respond to your inquiries of us, to complete your ADI membership or fellowship application, administer ADI membership benefits and access to member-only pages on our Website, send communications (i.e. newsletters, updates, notices) to you in accordance with your chosen preferences, and for inclusion in your online member directory profile. We also use payment card information you provide us in conjunction with your membership enrollment and any other online transactions through our website to process payments for the applicable fees or dues. We use Browsing Information to monitor and diagnose, troubleshoot and optimize our Website. We also use Browsing Information to understand our Website usage and activity, to customize the content displayed to you, and to help us identify fraudulent, malicious, or criminal activity occurring on our Website.
You have the right to change your preferences concerning the communications and circumstances in which we contact you at any time by adjusting your communication settings on our Website or contacting us to withdraw your consent or adjust your preferences.
Does ADI Share My Information With Third Parties?
ADI shares Personal Information and Browsing Information we collect about you with third parties who perform services for us as part of the services we provide you through our Website. We use third parties to host our Website and data, send emails, print and send documents and mailings, process payment card transactions, and to analyze Website usage. We share Browsing Information with select third parties, including our Website analytics provider through internet cookies.
On rare occasions, we may be required to disclose your Personal Information and/or Browsing Information as required by law and as necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process served on us.
In the event that ADI, or substantially all of ADI’s assets are sold, or ADI reorganizes or merges into another organization, then customer information, including Personal Information would be transferred to another organization.

Our Website utilizes internet cookies and Google Analytics. Do Not Track

If you choose against providing us with any required personal data, you will not be able to enroll for membership or to become a fellow.
- ADI is located within the United States. If any information is transferred to a third country or to an international organization, ADI will comply with applicable data privacy laws, including executing the Standard Contractual Clauses (or Model Clauses) as approved by the European Commission.
Individuals located within the EU are afforded certain data rights, which we are required to disclose to you:
