|CE Speaker Survey|
As you know the Academy of Dentistry International (ADI) is devoted to the advancement of dentistry throughout the world and to the elevation of dental standards by continuing education. Along with the sponsorship of dental education and service projects, this Academy directly aids in the improvement of the dental and oral health and well-being of people worldwide.
In an effort to develop continuing education (CE) activities more effectively the Board of Regents approved circulation of a survey instrument. Its purpose is to create a data bank of individuals willing to participate in such endeavors. This will also aid in developing a list of themes for the purpose of facilitating identification of areas that ADI fellows can utilize to promote and coordinate these activities worldwide. The survey also intends to collect other important information that CE coordinators can use in organizing these events more efficiently.
Improving and maintaining oral health worldwide requires collaboration of government agencies and professional organizations as well as of individuals from diverse disciplines. While populations of industrialized countries may have access to state of the art information others particularly in developing countries lack such resources. Sharing information on techniques, procedures or materials used in a particular field of dentistry or providing technical assistance on public health policies will greatly contribute to improving and maintaining oral health of the population.
It is recognized that several ADI fellows already contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, but such information may be limited to a specific Regency and not known in other regions. ADI fellows are an exceptional and outstanding resource for incrementing continuing education worldwide and many countries will benefit from such expertise.
If you are interested in collaborating on this endeavor, please complete the enclosed survey and return it to the central office by fax or email. The information will be processed and shared with the ADI Regents. It may also be posted on the ADI website; please note that other organizations may have an interest on continuing education subjects and speakers, and may contact you. If you prefer not to have your name, contact information and topic listed on the website please indicate so by entering the number code in the corresponding box on the survey.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
